After-School Program (High School)

Since the ASES program does not incorporate 10th – 12th graders, we offer a separate afterschool enrichment program for our high school students. We offer intensive Math, English and Science tutoring three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). The program runs from 3:00p – 4:00p. The aim of the afterschool program is to provide individual homework tutoring and intervention, as well as additional state test preparation.

The program is staffed by our teachers (provided a stipend) and volunteers. Participation in the LECS afterschool program is open to all students however, it is mandatory for any student:

1.                with a grade of D or below; or

2.                placed on academic probation; or

3.                placed on zero tolerance

Each tutor will be limited to a maximum of 10 students per one-hour session. Students are assigned to tutors based on their need for assistance in a particular subject area.
